OZZY, FERGIE TO LEND VOCAL TALENTS TO SLASH SOLO ALBUM

Slash’s wife has revealed in recent interview that Ozzy and Fergie are set to appear on Slash’s upcoming solo album, find out what Slash says!

As 2008 is quickly coming to a close, Velvet Revolver’s lead guitarist Slash continues his hard work in the studio putting tracks together for his upcoming solo album. Slash will look to feature different lead vocalists for each song, although he has been extremely tight lipped about which vocalists will take part in the project. Slash has revealed that a lot of the vocalists on his solo album are returning favors for Slash performing on their albums in the past. However, in a recent interview with rockerazzi.com, Slash’s wife Perla Hudson, mentioned both Ozzy Osbourne and Fergie will lend their vocal talents.

We caught up with Slash recently to ask him if he can shed some light on the highly anticipated solo album, which is due out in 2009.

“It’s people a lot of who I worked with before. You know, like played on their record. So, you know what I won’t say anything until it’s in the can because with musicians you just never know.”

It was also recently announced that Slash will perform a solo concert at the 2009 Quart Festival, although he will be joined by a number of guests and promises to perform a mixture of old and new material. The Quart Festival will place June 30th until July 4th in Kristiansand, Norway. Between working on his new solo album and putting a band together for what will surely be a solo tour in support of the upcoming album, Slash and his Velvet Revolver band mates continue their search for a replacement for Scott Weiland.
