OUTKAST STILL WORKING ON SOUNDTRACK

Outkast is scheduled to release their new soundtrack, Idlewild, on February 14th but the group isn’t finished with the project. The group’s manager, Blue Williams, told MTV.com, “You gotta let creative be creative, that’s what it is. It ain’t always when I want it. What it comes down to is, even when I’m ready to hit people with the wham-wham, the guys gotta be ready. I might be sitting there with the ill marketing — ‘We gonna do this, this and this’ — [but] if they ain’t ready, they ain’t ready.”

So far the group has been able to pick a single even though the project isn’t finished. Williams said, “It looks like we’re gonna start off with a new single that Big has, just to get the ball rolling.”

The movie, My Life In Idlewild, is scheduled to hit theaters on March 10th. The film stars Outkast, Terrence Howard, Paula Jai Parker, Ving Rhames, Faizon Love, Malinda Williams, Patti LaBelle, Ben Vereen, Macy Gray, and Cicely Tyson. The movie was written and directed by Bryan Barber.
