R&B singer Omarion and rapper Bow Wow are currently working on an album which they plan to release in November. In addition to the musical work, Omarion is also keeping busy on the acting front. He recently completed work on The Noise with Giancarlo Esposito where he plays an aspiring rapper who is forced to relocate to Puerto Rico and live with the father he never knew after a run in with local street thugs. Omarion has also announced plans to star in Tyger (“Menace II Society”) Williams’ Street Soldier and a new horror film, Somebody Help Me,” which will be directed by his manager and mentor Chris Stokes. |
Omarion explained why he enjoys having two careers. He said, |
“Yeah definitely it’s a different mind set but it’s so great for my career. And the reason why it is, is because I’m not pigeonholed as just a singer. I can capitalize on both monies if you know what I mean. And also it kinda helps my schedule. Like with being an artist, everything is so spontaneous. It’s like you know you have to do phoners, you have to do this and do that. When you’re on a set, it’s like a nine to five. You know you come, you work, and you go home. And I love that.” |
