OK GO TAKE HOME GRAMMY FOR BEST SHORT FORM VIDEO

In what is certainly not a surprise, OK Go have taken home the Grammy Award for Best Short Form Video. The video, which was for the bands single ‘Here It Goes Again’ catapulted the band to world wide success on the fact the band cut a ground breaking video for a fraction of the cost of big time video productions and what was undoubtedly a extremely unique idea. We caught up with Ok Go after taking home the Grammy to find out how the band feels about the Award and all the success they’ve received.

So after taking home the Grammy, the band is on the verge of becoming so huge, they might have to change their easy going attitude.

“You know our music sucks, it’s just the treadmills. We feel like interlopers, we are touristing in the land of the famous right now. So even if it is just for a video that we get a Grammy it feels so c osmically crazy. We’ll take it, you know.”

Although the band is busy touring right now, the are currently writing new material for their next album, which the band hopes to start recording in the summer.

“Well I think after we win the Grammy we’ll be so huge that people won’t be able to look at us anymore. I don’t really want to let people to look at me. I’m planning on going into my Prince phase where you just get fired on the spot if you say my name of look at me. I’m looking forward to those days. I’m sorry sir I didn’t mean to look at you, like that. Yeah, good practice.”
