NORMA JEAN MAKES QUICK WORK OF REDEEMER
Norma Jean, the Christian hardcore rock outfit, is set to release its new album, Redeemer on September 12. The album was produced by the famed Ross Robinson, and it’s the follow-up to Oh God, The Aftermath. |
Drummer and defacto spokesperson for the band Dan Davidson talked about the album backstage at Ozzfest. He revealed Norma Jean had to rush to finish Redeemer before the OzzFest tour — which he said wasn’t such a bad thing. |
“We thought it was going to be rushed because we were like, no way we can get a record written and get in the studio that soon before OzzFest, but…. We wouldn’t have spent more time in the studio because we had more than enough time there. We had about two months, and that’s without mixing. We probably would have refined the songs a little different, but to me it turned out perfect. I don’t wish we had more time. It’s hart to say. Too much time can sometimes be a bad thing, I think.” |
Norma Jean are set to bring the tracks on the new album to life on the Radio Rebellion tour, which kicks off October 6 in Nashville, Tennessee. |
