NO DOUBT YOUNG TALKS GRAMMY STYLE AND GWEN STEFANI PREGNANCY
No Doubt drummer Adrian Young visited the style studio, and played games while talking to us about how Gwen’s pregnancy affects album plans. |
Adrian Young of No Doubt was on-hand at the Grammy style studio on Thursday, February 7, and aside from checking out the fashion designers on site, he visited the Xbox game Rock Band to jam on his favorite tunes. Young, a drummer by trade, played video-game drums to Weezer and The Pretenders. He also talked about the status of No Doubt’s future in the wake of Gwen Stefani pregnancy announcement. |
Young talked with us about playing the video game, and also scoring some clothes courtesy of the fashion line of The Black Eyed Peas mastermind Will.i.am. |
“It was a little bit weird , drum-wise, because you’re hitting plastic, but I walked away for ten minutes, and I thought, ‘I wanna do this again.’ I can see why people would really like to do this with their friends, especially if you don’t know how to play an instrument. I get it. Oh yeah, and I just got an awesome Cardigan from Will.i.am. I really like it. We toured together in 2000, and he and I were kind of the plaid wearing guys on the tour. I always wanted to, in my head, but he’s the one who actually did it, and he’s got some cool stuff over there. I got a plaid jacket from him. Good for him for getting it done.” |
Young said that Gwen Stefani would soon lay down tracks for a new No Doubt album, but we asked if her baby announcement would derail the process. |
Adrian Young is a veteran of the Grammy Style Studio, and he said that he finds great stuff every year. He said he tends to gravitate towards the retro collections. |
