NO DOUBT DRUMMER TO GOLF PROFESSIONALLY?
No Doubt drummer Adrian Young may be taking a short leave of absence to start his new career, professional golfer. The band has been in pre-production for a new album, but during the break Young decided to follow other dreams. |
It’s been nearly two years since the band went on a full-fledged tour, and the talented musician filled us in on how he’s been keeping busy. |
“Well, I have my family taht I spend quite a bit of time with. I do a little bit of session work on the side playing drums, but mostly I play competitive golf on many tours, and I’m actually going to qualifying school for the Canadian tour.” |
We asked Young what “qualifying school” entails. |
“Four days, and if I earn my… If I get status after the four days I get a card where I can play on the Canadian tour for one year.” |
If No Doubt doesn’t get their follow-up to Rock Steady done this year, expect to see Young compete hard in a golf tournament near you. |
