NINE INCH NAILS, GREEN DAY, JOAN JETT, AMONG ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES FOR 2015
Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, The Smiths, Lou Reed, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are among those nominated – not selected for induction – for the 2015 class of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The selection will be in a few months’ time.
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said of the nomination, “Wow! Time flies. It’s hard to believe it’ll be 25 years since we released some of our first music. We are honored to be considered for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with many of our heroes.”

Joan Jett said of her legacy:
Others nominated include Sting, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Kraftwerk, The Marvelettes, N.W.A, The Spinners, Stevie Ray Vaughan, War and Bill Withers.
