NIN TRENT REZNOR GIVES RESPECT TO JEORDIE WHITE
Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor gives respect, and a band position to Jeordie White. |
Nine Inch Nails has just completed a run of tour dates, and former Marilyn Manson bassist, Twiggy Ramirez aka Jeordie White, is an instrumental part of Trent Reznor’s band. While the relationship between Marilyn Manson and Reznor has been on-and-off, Reznor has always had a good rapport with White. |
The two bonded during the making of Manson’s Antichrist Superstar album and the subsequent Manson-Nine Inch Nails tour. When White separated from the Manson camp, Reznor snapped him up. |
“Trent and I were always really close from that tour and from when we recorded Antichrist Superstar. We bonded and had a good relationship so it wasn’t…I wasn’t that surprised when he called and asked me to be part of his band. So yeah, it’s a great thing to be involved in.” |
White talked about his involvement in the latest Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero. |
“I listened to the mixes. I played some video games in the lounge. Nine Inch Nails has always been Trent Reznor, and probably always will be as far as the records go. When it gets into a live situation we get to bring it to a different level — usually lower, not as good as the record — I’m just kidding. It would be great to work together again because we did do great work together on Marilyn Manson records, but I’m perfectly happy the way things are. He can do his thing, and I can be a part of it, and then I can do my thing as well.” |
Jeordie White may have some time to do some shows with his project with Chris Goss, Goon Moon. The band recently released Lickers Last Leg. White will return to the road with Nine Inch Nails starting August 1st in Moscow. Overseas dates include shows in Switzerland, Italy, the U.K., Germany, Austria, and Australia. |
