NICKELBACK ON WHY THEY WAITED TO TOUR
Hinder talk about their upcoming party for the release of “Take it to the Limit” at The Playboy Suite at the Palms in Vegas and why they can’t wait. |
Most bands start their tour weeks even months before their new album hits the streets to build awareness of the album and get support behind the first single. Nickelback has taken a different approach with their album, All The Right Reasons. |
The band played a few shows before the album came out, but is waiting for 2006 for their full scale tour. Kroger explained this non-traditional method, as fans are starting to get eager for the band to hit their town. |
“Um, this time we were just waiting for a second single I think. I think that a lot of times you’ll go out early and you’ll start pushing that first single… And it’s so much better we find it, every single time we go out that the momentum really picks up by the time you get to the second single so we thought we’d just wait. Wait until there’s enough familiarity there, there’s enough people have had the new album and people are singing the words to several songs instead of just the first one.” |
The band has had great success with the song “Photograph,” and their still-to be determined next single. The band will tour starting in January, kicking off the tour in Duluth, Minnesota. Opening for the band will be Trapt. |
