Nickelback’s new effort, All The Right Reasons, has debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album sold close to 325,000 copies in its first week of release, outdistancing all other albums. |
All The Right Reasons follows in the footsteps of the band’s 2003 release, The Long Road, and it marks the start of another multi-platinum run by the band. Unlike their previous releases, guitarist Ryan Peake and bassist Mike Kroeger said that they had the luxury of complete control and the ability to critique themselves with the current collection. |
“There was the odd speedbump,” said Peake. “Some songs take a little longer than others, but we had the option this time to kind of sit back and really make the song exactly the way we wanted to. If something wasn’t quite working, we’d kind of, ‘Alright it’s really bugging us, let’s just change it. Let’s just take it right out and put something else in there, try something else.”rnrnMike Kroeger added, “There was an ability to be uncompromising. We had that ability that we didn’t have to settle. “ |
Nickelback’s All The Right Reasons is spurred on by “Photograph,” which has be come a new rock staple. The album has a lot to live up to as their breakthrough album, Silver Side Up, has now been certified 6x platinum and their last album, The Long Road, has been certified triple platinum. |
