NICKELBACK AGREES CHAD SHAPES THE BAND
Nickelback’s “Photograph” is still climbing the chart, and with the band’s increased and continued success, much has been made about vocalist Chad Kroeger’s influence in the band. |
The band has had three albums Silver Side Up, The Long Road, and All The Right Reasons, that have had hits, and that doesn’t include the famous “Hero,” which vocalist Chad Kroeger went solo on. With all the focus on his brother, bassist and Chad’s brother Mike Kroeger (with guitarist Ryan Peake sitting in) was asked what he would tell people who think that Nickelback is all about Chad. |
“Well, I would say first of all in a rock band situation they’re kind of right. The singer does dictate a fair degeree of what you do because, for instance, for example, writing lyrics. if I’m going to write lyrics for this guy, it’s easy for me to write lyrics and go, ‘Here, sing this.’ He has to sing it. So if he says, ‘No, I don’t really want to sing those words. I can’t make those words mine, really. They’re not going to work,’ he’s going to dictate that. And I understand that.” |
Nickelback is currently deciding what they’ll do to for their next tour go around. So far they have no tour dates scheduled, but the band plans to hit the road hard in 2006. |
