NICK CARTER, PARIS HILTON JOIN FOR CELEB POKER

The phone maker LG sponsored a celebrity poker tournament at the Palms Hotel And Casino earlier this month which brought out host Jenny McCarthy, Jermaine Dupri, Kelly Monaco, Danny Masterson, Bijou Phillips and actress Shannon Elizabeth.

The event also brought out Paris Hilton and Backstreet Boys Nick Carter, who at one time were an item. The two were corralled separately, and Carter first told of his theory on Poker.

“Everybody worries about what the people look like, and how to play the other people and stuff. I think it’s on the cards. I think it’s about the cards, and that’s all it’s about.”

Paris Hilton was at the event, and admitted she doesn’t know much about poker but loves to play.

“Um, I’ve played poker before. I’m not, like, professional but I like playing. I’m learning.”

Poker’s increasing popularity has snared many a musical celebrity from pop stars to rock’s biggest names, Scott Stapp and Dave Navarro to name a few. Although the event was captured over a week ago, there was no word on air dates.
