NAVEEN ANDREWS LOST ABOUT NEXT SEASON (Sept 2007)

When it comes to knowing what will happen on the next season of Lost, Naveen Andrews is just as lost as the fans.

Lost star Naveen Andrews was in town to talk about his role in The Brave One playing Jodie Foster’s fiancé who gets brutally beaten by a gang of thugs, but he’s jetting off to film the ongoing adventures of Sayid Jarrah for the next season of Lost.

Naveen admits he has blinders on when it comes to what next season holds for the stranded on the desert island, and is just as lost as the fans as to what will happen.

“I’m going back to Lost tomorrow morning, back to me day job. It’s like we’re all in these tumbrels being led to execution. At least in those days you either had the choice of being blindfolded or you could have the blindfold off and you could talk to the crowd, get drunk, etc. But we have blindfolds on. We literally don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Before Lost, Naveen enjoyed a diversified career starring in such films as The English Patient as Juliette Binoche’s sexy lover, and most recently in Grindhouse’s Planet Terror.

“Well hopefully as an actor you get the opportunity to at least try and have some variety and do many different things like this was very different from what I had to do in Rob and Quentin’s film Grindhouse so and again they’re different to Lost. That’s what I try and look for and whether you get it or not is another question. And when those opportunities present themselves you seize them.”

Season four of Lost will have 16 episodes beginning in February 2008.
