NAS SAYS NEW ALBUM IS HIS BEST

(VIDEO) Nas says he’s creating his best album…..

Nas is hard at work on his Def Jam debut, Hip Hop is Dead, and the rapper promises that the album may be his best work to date. He said, “It’s probably the best record I ever did. I mean, when you work in the studio for a while, sometimes you think its great, but you don’t know what it is until the people hear it. So I hope the people agree.”

So far, the rapper hasn’t worked with any guests but he hinted that he may have recorded a song with Jay-Z. Nas said, “I haven’t worked with anybody but myself. A little bit of work with Jay [Z], just for the fans out there and just for us.”

“I mean it’s all about us paying attention you know what I’m sayin’? We got to be responsible you know what I mean? We can’t be. You know we getting too old to be running around here acting like we still retarded and crazy. You know it’s fun when we’re teenagers but at some point you got to grab a hold of your destiny and know what’s right for you. Stop being a follower. We got to be leaders.”

Hip Hop Is Dead is scheduled to hit stores on November 7th.

Nas signed a four album deal with Def Jam Records last year after recording for Sony Music his entire career. Under the new deal, he will have his own label, the Jones Experience, and he plans to make a statement with his music. Nas said,
