MUDVAYNE RELEASES THE NEW GAME TODAY
Mudvayne has released The New Game today, November 18, and it is a logical evolution says Matt McDonough and Chad Grey |
Mudvayne is set to release their new album, The New Game, today, November 18. They also released the video for “Do What You Do,” which premiered on MTV2 and MTV2.com. The release is their fourth studio effort, following in the footsteps of Lost And Found. |
Drummer Matt McDonough and singer Chad Gray talk about the band’s evolution. |
[Chad] “I think it’s natural. It just feels natural to me. It just feels like the Mudvayne lineage. It’s just moving along a timeline. The biggest thing with us is we don’t question anything we do. Greg writes the riff and we just kind of go with it. It just becomes what it is. If you try hard to write something interesting or whatever you’re probably not going to get it. You know what I mean? It’s like, when you don’t TRY to write something interesting that’s when it pays off for us.” [Matt] “I think our fans would… One thing we’ve always tried to maintain is an honesty with our writing. If we had expectations it would show. The fans would know. They would be able to read through that.” |
Mudvayne is currently on the west coast in the middle of The New Game Tour 2008, which wraps up December 20 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. |
