MOTLEY CRUE RELEASES NEW GREATEST HITS CD, PLAN TO TAKE 2010 OFF

Motley Crue have released their latest Greatest Hits compilation and the album, simply titled “Greatest Hits” features 19 of Crue’s chart topping singles including their latest hit, “Saints Of Los Angeles” and old classics like “Girls, Girls, Girls”, “Don’t Go Away Mad”, and “Shout at the Devil” to name a few. Forging a name for themselves in the early 80’s performing in the Glam Rock scene in Hollywood, Ca. Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil quickly became one of heavy metals biggest selling bands of all time and they continue to build on their legacy with each show and with each album and with each tell all book, like their recent autobiography “The Dirt.”rnrnrna new version of “Animal In Me” remixed by bassist Nikki Sixx and his Sixx A.M. ba Crue. rnrnGreatest Hits now features 19 stone-cold classics including ‘Girls Girls Girls’, ‘Dr. Feelgood’, ‘Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)’ and many ndmates James Michael and DJ Ashba. Artisan News caught up with Tommy Lee to get his thoughts on Motley Crue’s longevity, and to see if he ever envisioned having as much success as he has experienced in Motley Crue. |
“Not a chance. I mean I knew we’d do something but never anything like this or this kind of longevity. I mean that’s pretty rare for bands these days to, let alone have a record and a tour and be gone, than to have a ton of albums and tours, so yeah I pinch myself alot.” |
Fans who purchase Motley Crue’s “Greatest Hits” at Best Buy will get a bonus preview of the soon to be released Cruefest 2 DVD featuring backstage interview footage with Motley Crue. Look for the Cruefest 2 DVD to be released in 2010. Motley Crue have also announced a breif 2010 Canadian tour beginning January 23, 2010, in Victoria, British Columbia and extending until January 28th in Regina, SK. Look for the band to take most of 2010 off before getting back together in 2011 to begin recording new material for their next album.rn |
