MOTLEY CRUE READY TO RELEASE SINS ON CD
Motley Crue is ready to unleash their Carnival Of Sins on CD October 23, and Sixx and Tommy talk about the fans’ passion. |
Motley Crue is set to release their live double album, Carnival Of Sins Live, on October 23. The disc features the setlist of the concert pretty much in order, and it was recorded in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 27, 2005. The collection features all the band’s faves such as “Shout At The Devil,” “Wild Side,” and “Home Sweet Home,” among others. |
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee talk about appealing to many generations of fans. |
[Tommy Lee] “It’s very surprising to me because I didn’t really know where everything was at as far as where the fans are, what are they thinking these days?, where are we at? I’m very grateful and overwhelmingly surprised in the fact that just about every show that we’ve showed up and played has been sold out, and the crowd is there in full-blown Motley style, it’s pretty crazy.” [Nikki Sixx] “It’s such a wide age group of people. It’s unbelievable. We see kids, we see a lot of people in their 20s, teenagers, 30s, original Crue-heads that were there. Like Tommy said we’re very grateful and we’re trying to tear it up as much as we can.” |
The band also talked about Mick Mars overcoming a hip-replacement prior to the tour. |
“Yeah he’s… You should see him. He’s flying around like nothing has ever happened, which is pretty incredible. I can’t even imagine having a hip replacement and being that mobile that quickly. He’s doing well, really kicking some butt.” |
Motley Crue’s Carnival of Sins was sold out in many venues across the U.S., and it’s estimated the band played to over one million fans in the U.S. alone. |
