MORE FILMS FOR MOS DEF

Adrien Brody and Jeffrey Wright star in Cadillac Records, and they talk about their roles in the film, classic cars, and stuff they got from the set.

Mos Def is in final talk to start in a new independent film entitled “Stringbean and Marcus” along with Sophie Okonedo, Oscar nominee for her role in Hotel Rwanda.

“Mos is one of my favorite actors; he’s fantastic,” Sean Costello, the films producer. “Sophie has to play this character who’s both closed off and being open to helping people yet not being an angry woman. That’s what she did in Hotel Rwanda as this maternal, yet emotionally conflicted woman.”

The film tells centers on a love story between two former black panthers in 1978. Although both actors have yet to sign a contract Costello states that both actors are committed to the project.

“Stingbean and Marcus” is scheduled to begin shooting in Philadelphia this summer.
