MOBY SET TO RELEASE GREATEST HITS ALBUM

(VIDEO) Moby is set to release a Greatest Hits album, and he admitted he’s been around longer than people think…

Moby has been very busy, despite hiding out from the public eye. He recently performed and hosted a benefit for the Coastal Marine Resource Center in New York. He’s working on a brand new album, and he’s set to release a Greatest Hits compilation in the fall.

Some fans sill view him as a “new” artist, and perhaps not seasoned enough to have a greatest hits collection — bub Moby tells us he’s been at the music game longer than people realize.

“Well, I put out my very first record in 1982. It’s a very obscure underground punk records. I was in a band called the Vatican Commandos. Amd then from 1983 to 1990, seven years, I was working on music but didn’t put out any records. And then in 1990 I started putting out records under my own name, so it’s really been 16 years in making records under my own name, so as much as I’d love to be a new artist, for better or worse, I’m not.”

Not only is Moby releasing a greatest hits album in the fall, he recently wrote music Richard Kelly’s new movie Southland Tales.
