MOBY SAYS NO AREA SEQUELS
Moby created the Area series of concerts in the early part of the decade, and it became the only traveling U.S. festival tour to feature both rock and electronica artists as their core. With bands and artists like David Bowie, New Order, Nelly Furtado, Incubus, Carl Cox and Busta Rhymes all featured on the bill. |
Moby said that for the two traveling festivals it was too much work for everyone involved organizing the event. |
“Well in 2001 and 2002 I did Area festivals, Area:One and Area: Two with David Bowie and Outkast and the Blue Man Group and New Order, and they were really great. They were a lot of work. Not so much for me, but for the I don’t know if anyone’s willing to work that hard on a summer festival again.” |
Moby recently performed for the Coastal Marine Resource Center, and he also just released his first full-length DVD titled The Hotel, and it features one DVD and one disc of remixes. |
