MISSY ELLIOTT WILL NOT PLAY HERSELF IN BIOPIC

Missy Elliott is currently developing a movie about her life growing up in Virginia and eventually becoming a superstar. The project is slated to be co-produced by Robert DeNiro and to begin shooting later this year. Elliott explained that she won’t be playing herself in the movie. She said,

One person who definitely will not be in the movie is Elliott’s frequent collaborator Timbaland. He said “I don’t want to be in the movie. For me that movie is all about her. You couldn’t make that movie and put my side of the story in it too.”

“I act everyday. I’m acting right now. Nah I don’t even know if I’m playing myself in the movie so I’ll be behind the screen. Yeah!”

In related news, Elliott has no plans of reviving her reality show, The Road to Stardom With Missy Elliott. The show, which had 13 aspiring singers and rappers going on the road with Elliott while competing for a recording contract, lasted one season on the UPN Network. Elliott explained why she doesn’t plan on doing any more reality shows. She said,

“The reality show is hard, man, I be crying and stuff. My blood pressure can’t take the reality show. It be too real, I don’t know if I’m gonna be doing that again. I mean, who knows. Right now, I don’t think so, but you never know. I don’t want to say never.”
