MILLA JOVAVICH STILL SURVIVING RACCOON CITY
Milla Jovavich returns as Alice, saving the population in Resident Evil: Extinction. |
When we last left Alice played by Milla Jovavich in Resident Evil: Apocalypse she was dealing with trying to escape the nightmare plaguing Raccoon City. Three years later in Resident Evil: Extinction the survivors of the Raccoon City catastrophe are en route to Alaska led by Jovavich who is hiding in the Nevada desert. |
Milla describes how Alice has changed since she has become genetically altered with super human strengths. |
“Alice since the last film has definitely changed. She’s a loner now. She doesn’t really know what is going on with these new powers and weird things are happening. If she falls asleep and has a nightmare things start exploding and stuff. It’s pretty crazy so she’s trying to stay on her own and keep other people away from her so it’s a pretty lonely position.” |
As the survivors pass through the Nevada desert the landscape warranted director Russell Mulcahy to shoot footage during the day which at first surprised Milla who was used to night shoots. |
“Everyone expected this movie to be filmed at night so when Russell said, ‘you know this is going to be during the day,’ we definitely did a double take but at the same time when the dailies started coming back with these incredible sets and these incredible shots of the desert during the day just how creepy and quiet it is and how lonely. Everybody was kind of, ‘yeah it’s amazing.’” |
Resident Evil: Extinction featuring characters from the video game marks the return of Carlos Olivera as Oded Fehr and Mike Epps as L.J. along with new survivors Heroes’ Ali Larter, Spencer Locke and Ashanti as Nurse Betty. Resident Evil: Extinction opens Friday, September 21st in theaters. |
