MIKE MYERS SHARES SIMILARITIES TO SHREK

In the third installment of Shrek, Mike Myers discovers what he has in common with the green ogre.

When we last left Shrek he was happily married to the Princess Fiona but he never intended to inherit the throne of Far, Far, Away. In Shrek The Third when King Harold finally croaks Shrek is next in line for the coveted title.

Mike Myers who reprises the role of the lovable green ogre talks about coming back to the world of Shrek and company and the similarities he shares with him.

“Well I’m actually green. It’s an elaborate make-up process for me every day to cover over my natural green hue. Similarities, I’m 5’7 ½ although I claim 5’8”. Shrek is seven foot tall plus an ear as they say. I have a good time doing Shrek. You know you to be silly and you don’t have to put on make-up or a costume. Actually the part of the thing is how much I love Donkey and Fiona and Puss n’ Boots and the whole world. I get very happy when I get into the world.”

Mike was also happy to reunite with his old pal Donkey.

“One of the things I love about doing Shrek is doing my scenes with Donkey. I actually don’t even think of it as Eddie Murphy anymore. I’m a huge Eddie Murphy fan but I just really think of him as actually Donkey.”

Mike can also relate to Shrek’s struggles with his self-image growing up in Canada as the youngest of three who considers himself the ‘hey guys wait up kid.’ Shrek The Third opens Friday in theaters.
