METALLICA DEATH MAGNETIC NUMBER ONE
Metallica’s new album Death Magnetic is attracted to the Number One spot on the Billboard 200 as James Hetfield compared it to their last. |
Metallica’s much anticipated follow-up to St. Anger, Death Magnetic, will debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 album chart. The debut marks the return of the four horsemen; James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo. The band worked with Rick Rubin, Slayer’s famous producer, and it forced Metallica into a new headspace. |
In a previous interview Metallica’s James Hetfield talked about working on Death Magnetic as opposed to St. Anger. |
“Very different from the last album. St. Anger, hours and hours of talking. Talking about what’s going to go on, what just happened, what’s gonna happen, what will… All of that, and going in and having coaches here and there. This one we’re pretty much on our own. It does, it feels so we kind of have to crack the whip every once in a while and get everyone in there.” |
Metallica’s Death Magnetic beat out albums by Kid Rock, Young Jeezy, Jessica Simpson and LL Cool J for the top slot. The tour kicks off October 21 in Glendale, Arizona. Their latest single is “The Day That Never Comes.” |
