MEET MILEY CYRUS’ REAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY

The star of Hannah Montana says her friends and family are the same on the show as well as off in new DVD.

Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana is a family affair starring Miley’s real life best friends Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, Jason Earles and of course her dad Billy Ray Cyrus.

“Miley’s been my best friend for the past two years so it’s really easy going on the set working with your best friend. The whole cast is just as close off set as they are on set. We are always looking for reasons to get together whether it’s going out and getting sushi together or catch a movie. We all kind of became a big old family and best friends. It’s really great when you go to work it’s like just going to school and being with your buds. It’s awesome.”

Miley says acting with her dad can be strange because their real life tends to get in the way sometimes.

“My dad he’s pretty cool. Most of the times it’s pretty fun. Only sometimes when we act like real dad and daughter type things then it’s kind of weird. Everyone else around us on set just kind of laughs at us because we’ll be in the middle of a scene and I’m like, ‘dad that’s not the way you do it,’ and he’ll be like, ‘let me show you. Do that line, whatever,’ so it’s got the good and the bad.”

Miley is taking the tween world by storm. In addition to the TV series and recordings, Disney is introducing the clothing line The Hannah Montana collection working closely with Miley to create such looks from the show as a denim jumper with rhinestones, a sundress topped with a denim vest and T-shirts adorned with Hannah’s face.
