MEAT LOAF BAT OUT OF HELL 3 HITS STORES
Meat Loaf has released his new album, Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose, and the album features the track “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”. The album was produced by Desmond Child, who worked with Kiss, Bon Jovi, and later Ricky Martin. |
With the first album produced by Todd Rundgren and the second by Meat Loaf co-writer Jim Steinman, Child had big shoes to fill. Meat Loaf talked about what Desmond brought to the project. |
“Now you’ve got to put yourself in Desmond Child’s position, and you’re sitting here looking at what Todd Rundgren and Jim Steinman did together, what Jim Steinman did. Now, you’re Desmond Child and you’re facing a daunting, daunting task. He says he will never be the same. He will never produce anything else, and he will never get over doing it.” |
And for the name, of the album, the Monster Is Loose, Meat Loaf — an avowed Yankees fan — said it actually came from watching a New York Mets game a few years back. |
“Yeah, from (coach and former Mets catcher) John Stearns yelling at (then Mets catcher) Mike Piazza. I think it was written somewhee and I actually spoke to the General Manager the other day at the Mets game and I said, ‘This really happened, right?’ and he said, ‘Yes.'” |
Stearns was trying to get Piazza in the right mind frame to battle out of the slump he was going through at the time. Bat Out Of Hell 3: The Monster Is Loose featured Nikki Sixx, the lovely Marion Raven, John5 (guitarist for Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson) and Brian May. |
