Master P, who launched a profanity free label, Take A Stand Records, plans to open up P. Miller Youth Centers in lower income communities around the country. Each center will include a gymnasium and a library. The first facility will open in New Orleans with others to follow in Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles. Master P explained, “Our goal is take kids off the streets, provide education, financial literacy, and hope for a real future. We want our kids to pick up a book or a ball and put down the guns. It is time to save our kids… let’s give them a better vision.” |
The New Orleans-based rapper may also eventually open up a center on the west coast in the Bay-area as he spent some time in Richmond, California. The rapper shared that his mother still lives in the Bay area. He said |
“I’mma always love the Bay. I ain’t going nowhere. Let me tell you something, my mama live in the Bay, so you know what I’m sayin’? That’s what I’m sayin’. Talkin about San Pablo Avenue, come on 23rd Street, ya’ll know I’m in the cut. You know what I’m sayin’? Crescent Park, ya’ll know how we do.” |
