MASTER P RETURNING TO INDIE ROOTS
Master P is launching a new independent record label, Gutter Music, which he will self-distribute in hopes of one day owning his own major distribution network. The first two release from the new label is the 504 Boyz’ new album, Hurricane Katrina, which was released on Tuesday, November 8th. All of the proceeds from the Hurricane Katrina album will go to helping New Orleans residents who were affected by the hurricane. |
The next release from the new label will be The Rich Boyz’ Young Ballers album which hits stores on November 22nd. The group includes Lil Romeo, Young V (Romeo’s younger brother Vercy Miller), C-Los, Big Doug and Lil’ D. The group is made up of cousins. |
“Well my Dad played a big role in my career because if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be doing this. I always looked up to my dad. Him and my uncles would be in the studio making music so me and my cousin Lil D decided we wanted to go in the studio and sneak into the studio to make songs like them. So my dad was a big, big influence on my life.” |
