Mary Forsberg Weiland, ex wife of Stone Temple Pilots lead vocalist Scott Weiland has released her autobiography “Fall to Pieces: A Memoir of Drugs, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Mental Illness” and the book sheds light on their battles with addiction, as well as touching on Mary’s struggles with bi polar disorder. The book, which is currently in book stores now tells a graphic tale of how ugly serious drug addiction can be and how hard it is to over come those demons. So how does Scott Weiland feel about his battles with addiction as well as his life being in bookstores for all to read? |
Artisan News caught up with Mary Forsberg and asked her what Scott’s reaction to the book where. |
“You know it’s really weird right now. We talked about it today and he’s really happy and he likes the book and he thinks it’s a good book and so that’s great but at the same time it’s weird for both of us. You know it’s our life and now it’s available in book stores so it’s weird. But he knows what the true reasons for my writing it were and that there’s a lot of love there so I think he’s as happy as you can be with putting your life out there.” |
“Fall to Pieces” covers Mary’s successful career in modeling shooting for magzines like Vouge, which led her to meet Scott at a very young age while he was her driver and tells their sordid tales that take the reader into the dark world of drug abuse. Mary Weiland recently held her book signing at Book Soup in Hollywood, Ca on November 16th, 2009 celebrating the release of “Fall to Pieces” and she was joined by friends which included Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray) as well as director/writer Cameron Crowe and actress Ivana Milicevic.rn |
