MARQUES HOUSTON RELEASES FAVORITE GIRL VIDEO

Singer and actor Marques Houston will release his third solo album, Veteran, next month. The album will feature cameos by Shawnna, Mya and Yung Joc with production by the Underdogs, Bryan Michael Cox, and Rufus Black. The lead single and video from the project is “Favorite Girl.”

Houston is known for releasing risque videos especially since last year’s “Naked” video which featured the singer in his birthday suit. Houston said,

“First of all let me just say thank you to all the fans out there for supporting me, supporting my videos, supporting everything I’ve done in my whole career. And thank you to the man upstairs. Thanks God for blessing me with the opportunity to be able to be talented enough to be an entertainer. My response was really…I didn’t know what to expect. I knew I wanted to do the video. I knew I wanted it to be really artsy. And I knew the direction and Chris Stokes, he directed the video. He really knew the main direction and what he wanted to see as far as the black and white with red popping out of everything. I just knew I wanted to be naked. I’m like, ‘Chris make a video and I just want to be naked in it.’ So you know I felt like I just wanted to go with the song and he came up with all the creative, you know, ideas for it and it was great.”

Veteran is the follow-up to Houston’s 2005 set Naked, which debuted at Number 13 on The Billboard 200 and sold 390,000 copies in the United States. The singer released his debut solo album, MH, in 2003.
