MARQUES HOUSTON DEBUTS AT NUMBER FIVE
R&B singer Marques Houston cracked the Top Ten of the Billboard 200 albums chart for the first time with his third solo album, Veteran. The set sold 69,000 copies its first week in stores to land at Number Five. The singer’s last album, Naked, entered the charts at Number 13 after selling 65,000 copies its first week out. The latest single from the album is “Circle,” and Houston plans to release the Ne-Yo-penned song, “Wonderful,” next. |
Marques Houston has released two other solo albums 2003’s MH and 2005’s Naked. As a member of Immature, he released two gold-certified albums, 1994’s Playtyme Is Over and 1995’s We Got It. The group changed its name to IMx and released two more albums, 1999’s Introducing IMx, which featured the gold hit single, “Stay The Night,” and 2001’s IMx. |
“IMX reunion, there’s no talk about an IMX reunion right now. We just.. you know we stayed friends. We’re around each other all the time and we don’t know where that’s gonna go. Wherever God wants that to go, we’ll leave that up to him. Maybe!” |
