MARKY RAMONE SAYS TOMMY WAS COOL WITH DRUM TRANSITION IN NEW BOOK
Marky Ramone is set to release his new book Punk Rock Blitzkrieg My Life As A Ramone on January 13, and it just might be the book fans of The Ramones, oh hell, fans of Rock and Roll have been waiting for. The book details the rise of the punk movement as he first was a peer of The Ramones with his band Richard Hell and the Voidoids and helped influence the British Punk movement. Marky, born Marc Bell, came into The Ramones after original drummer Tommy left, and in the book he details how the late original drummer, who died earlier this year, still cared about the band, produced their next album, and wanted Marky to do well to continue The Ramones legacy.
Maryk Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkrieg is a must for any longtime Ramones fan, and was written for new fans as well with Marc putting each moment of his life in context with the cultural, historical and political climate of each period of his life. Again it comes out in January, and you can pre-order it on Amazon.com.
