MARIAH CAREY SAYS WINNING A GRAMMY IS AN HONOR

Mariah Carey has won five Grammy Awards throughout her career including three on Wednesday night at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. The singer took home best R&B song, best contemporary R&B album, and best female R&B vocal performance honors. For Carey winning the awards was the icing on the key as she sold over five million copies of her latest album, The Emancipation of Mimi, in 2005.

With all the accolades, Carey explained that winning a Grammy Award is special. She said,

“It’s wonderful to feel that validation and that acceptance from your peers. I mean really it’s your peers but then there’s people that’s been doing this for way longer than me and you know people that are incredible….You know N.A.R.A.S., it’s just like, it’s a huge honor. You know so I’m just grateful. I’m really grateful. It’s a blessing.”
