MARIA MENOUNOS MISSES GRADE SCHOOL CRUSH

Maria Menounos stars as Jamie Rocket Shoe Kennedy’s first grade school sweetheart from 1985 in Kickin’ It Old Skool. Kennedy wakes up from a dance induced coma in present day only to discover Maria currently engaged to his former nemesis.

The 1996 Massachusetts Miss Teen USA says she still remembers her grade school crush.

“You know I did have a grade school sweetheart. His name was David and he was very, very nice and I had a crush on him all the way through the eighth grade but that was it, it ended there. We both loved hockey so we’d talk about hockey every day.”

To this day Maria is still mourning the unfinished business of her first romance.

“No nothing. My parents were very strict and they instilled the fear of God in me so nothing would ever go on. I didn’t kiss my first boy until I was 18. And I forced a boy to kiss me because I am not gonna be 18 and not have kissed a boy! It was like, ‘you come here!’”

Maria is putting the finishing touches to the voice of Risandra in the John Waters’ narrated film In The Land of Merry Misfits.
