MANDY MOORE MODEST ABOUT UNDERWEAR SCENE

Mandy Moore felt nervous wearing only her underwear in a scene for Because I Said So.

The female cast of Because I Said So stripped down to their underwear because, well the script and director Michael Lehmann said so. Some of them like Piper Perabo and Mandy Moore were dreading the idea.

The modest Moore felt embarrassed parading around in just her bra and panties but the scene called for it when mom Diane Keaton and her daughters visit a Korean health spa.

“It was weird because we started off in our underwear and that was really uncomfortable to do on camera and then the scene slowly evolves into us getting these crazy massages and I am so upset so I was in a completely different frame of mind. Diane is getting thrashed around from the masseuse and I’m sitting there balling and sobbing the whole day and with my face in this little cradle on the massage table so it was an interesting scene. I can say that for sure.”

Lauren Graham on the other hand feels everyone else around her made a bigger deal about it than she did.

“I have been asked more about my butt in this movie. Yes, and I have no issues. I feel great. I’m just gonna start wearing underwear at events on red carpets. No it’s like a strange thing because in life these are girls so it’s no big deal to all go to a spa and change so you just have to get over it but you know it’s not easy to wear your underwear.”

Diane Keaton urged everyone to just go for it as she’s been there many times on the big screen and on stage. One of Keaton’s first roles in the Broadway musical Hair required complete nudity night after night.
