MANDY MOORE ENROLLS INTO MARRIAGE LESSONS

Mandy Moore and John Krasinski are the eager engaged couple in License To Wed until they enroll in Reverend Frank’s one of a kind marriage course to ensure a life of happily wedded bliss.

Mandy talks about how the course works.

“He has a spot to marry us either in two years or three weeks. So of course us being the in love young couple we just jump right in head first and go for the three week time table and from there mayhem and chaos ensues. We start to slowly but surely find out that maybe we don’t know each other as well as we thought we did. I still felt like I could relate to just the ins and outs of a relationship or whether it’s deteriorating or what’s making it work at the moment and everything that factors in. I loved that that was sort of woven in with great comedy.”

Mandy talks about the wacky tests Robin Williams put them through.

“He puts us through a series of tests including an old-fashioned marriage counseling course where we have to sort of play this game of role reversal and get into a fight. That’s sort of our first inkling like, ‘wow this is not exactly what we both expected.’ He also takes us to a maternity ward in a hospital to see women in labor and giving birth and then proceeds to give us two Sym babies like animatronic robot babies that burp and sneeze and go to the bathroom and cry. We have to sort of juggle that all in the midst of trying to put a wedding together at the same time. Just crazy stuff.”

Mandy enjoyed shooting License to Wed except for the wedding scenes shot in the Jamaican heat which turned her off to being a beach bride for good.rn
