Brooklyn-based rapper Maino has bubbling on the underground scene for several years. The Lil Kim affiliate signed a deal with Universal Records in late 2005 but his debut project, Death Before Dishonor, was never released. Maino recently signed a deal with Atlantic Records thanks to a little help from rap mogul 50 Cent. the G-unit general called Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman to put in the good word for Maino. |
Since signing with Atlantic, Maino has formed an alliance with T.I. and his Grand Hustle team. The rapper recently released a new single and video, “My Life Is A Movie” featuring Razah, BG, NORE, Jae Millz, and Uncle Murder. |

Maino’s success has been largely fueled by his presence on mixtapes and DVD magazines. The rapper and his Hustle Hard Team has blanketed the tri-state area with Maino’s music and posters.
