M.O.P. TO RELEASE INDIE ALBUM

M.O.P. will release a new independent album next month before their G-Unit Records debut which is due early next year. The new album, The St. Marxmen, features guest spots by Jay-Z, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Wyclef Jean, and Gang Starr’s DJ Premier. The album is due out on October 18th on Koch Records.

M.O.P.’s last studio release was 2000’s Warriorz. The group released a rock side project under the Mash Out Posse moniker last year titled Ghetto Warfare. M.O.P.’s first hit was 1994’s “How About Some Hardcore.” The duo also scored a monster hit with 2000’s “Ante Up.”
