LUPE FIASCO SAYS PEOPLE RESPECT HIS WEIRD NERDY AGENDA

Grammy nominated rapper Lupe Fiasco is currently working on his sophomore album, The Cool, whichhe plasn to release this summer. according to the rapper, he plans to release three albums, then he will turn his attention to other things like his 1st and 15 label. The label’s roster currently includes: Gemini, Shayla G, and Risque. Gemini will be the first artist up according to Fiasco.

As for his career, Lupe is content with the fact that he’s viewed as the nerdy rapper. He said,

“Nah I get respect from both sides of the fence. I get a lot of love you know from Bun B from UGK all the way to Talib Kweli to Jay-Z all the way down to the basic basement rapper that you will never hear about you know. So I get love and appreciation from all around. A lot of rappers be like man, ‘that’s dope that you have the courage to even do that you know what I’m sayin? To go out there and push your agenda, you know your little weird nerdy agenda.’ But it works you know. I think they respect that too. The business behind it and everything that we did and took it. It worked. So you got to respect it if it works.”

In addition to the musical projects, Fiasco is working on his own clothing line.

The rapper released his debut album, Food & Liquor, last year.
