LUKE IS THE VICTIM OF A HATE CRIME

Former 2 Live Crew member Luther “Luke” Campbell was the victim of a hate crime on Monday, June 5, when a concrete landscaping block was thrown throug the window of a rental acr in the driveway of his Miami Lakes home. The person also left a note with biblical scriptures and racial slurs that read: “you better sign or die.”

Luke told the local news station, “Whoever did it, I guess, is some kind of sick character. And I hope they don’t go too far.” Police are still investigating the incident.

“I mean I’ve seen Jay-Z talk about it on interviews where he mentions Luke. He tells people basically, ‘Hey look this cat here is the first one I ever known to do his own record company.’ You know all that.”

On the positive side, Luke recently shared that hip hop mogul, Jay-Z is one of the few people who have actually given him props for launching one of the first indie rap labels. He said,
