LL COOL J TO RETURN TO TELEVISION

Rapper and actor LL Cool J hasn’t starred in his own television show since his series, In The House, went off the air in 1999. But the rapper recently hooked up with C.S.I. creator Anthony Zuiker and the two are developing a new cop drama, titled The Man, according to the Hollywood Reporter. |
LL Cool J will star as a well-connected Los Angeles Police Department officer who chases criminals by night and raises his three adopted children — an abused boy with an aggression problem, a former prostitute, and a recovering addict — by day. |
“You know God ultimately at the end of the day is a business man. He invests in people that are good stewards over what they have. People that take care of what they have. So everybody in here, you know if you ran through, let’s say if you had a hundred dollars this week or maybe you have a couple of hundred dollars in disposable income. Are you doing the right thing with that couple of hundred dollars? That’s where it starts. You know a penny makes a dollar. So if you’re not doing the right thing with a little bit, God is not gonna trust you with a lot.” |
The rapper will be able to pull from personal experiences in the new role as he’s a father in real life. LL has been very vocal about his spirituality and the importnace of doing the right thing. Earlier this year at the Hip Hop Empowerment Summit, Cool J had some important words for people about using their gifts and finances wisely. |
