LL Cool J released his latest album, Todd Smith, earlier this month and after twenty years in the business the rapper still has enough staying power to make a Top Ten debut on the Billboard 200. The lead single from the project, “Control Myself” featuring Jennifer Lopez, is flirting with a run at the Number One position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song is currently holding strong at Number Six.

LL Cool J is looking to double his chances of going to Number One so he released a new single and video, “Freeze” featuring Lyfe Jennings, this week. The song’s video was directed by Hype Williams who also directed the “Control Myself” video.

“The question that I always ask myself you know all the time. I always ask myself, ‘Am I getting the highest and best use out of my talents and out of everything in my life?’ Alright what do I mean by that? A lot of people in here have dreams of being a millionaire, and you have dreams of having tens of millions or may be hundred of millions of dollars. It’s definitely a….It’s a worthy goal and a worthy ambition and dream but my question to you is are you doing the right thing with what you have now?”
