LITTLE BROTHER INVITES FANS TO THE MINSTREL SHOW
North Carolina-based rap trio, Little Brother, released their major label debut, The Minstrel Show, on Tuesday, September 13th, on Atlantic Records. |
The album features guest appearances by Yahzarah, Darien Brockington, Elzhi of Slum Village, Chaundon, and Joe Scudda who is featured on the set’s lead single, “Lovin’ It.” |
“When I decided to go into music, you know, Little Brother, which I felt was the name for the group in honor of my little cousin who I treated as little brother, Darnell, who passed from just a variety of health problems.” |
Group member Phonte explained how the group came up with its unique name after the death of his cousin, Darnell. He said, |
The group released their debut album, The Listening, on an indie label in 2003. |
