LITTLE BROTHER INVITES FANS TO THE MINSTREL SHOW

North Carolina-based rap trio, Little Brother, released their major label debut, The Minstrel Show, on Tuesday, September 13th, on Atlantic Records.

The album features guest appearances by Yahzarah, Darien Brockington, Elzhi of Slum Village, Chaundon, and Joe Scudda who is featured on the set’s lead single, “Lovin’ It.”

“When I decided to go into music, you know, Little Brother, which I felt was the name for the group in honor of my little cousin who I treated as little brother, Darnell, who passed from just a variety of health problems.”

Group member Phonte explained how the group came up with its unique name after the death of his cousin, Darnell. He said,

The group released their debut album, The Listening, on an indie label in 2003.
