LINKIN PARKS SHINODA UNVEILS ORIGINAL ART WORK IN LA GALLERY
Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda unveiled his original artwork in an exclusive two night event in Los Angeles November 19th and 20th and with a crowd of people lining up around the block in anticipation of the galleries opeing night, Shinoda admitted he’s been practicing art longer than he’s been performing music and it’s important to him to not only have a creative outlet but as a relaxing way to free his mind from his intense work schedule. |
Shinoda’s gallery featured cover art on Ft. Minor’s debut album along with original and collaborative works with Greg Simpkins, Gary Raseman, Dalek, Seen and Mr. Hahn. Art Collectors were free to purchase a few of the pieces and although Shinoda finds it hard to part with his personal collection, with money going to a scholarship fund at his Alma Mater, The Art Center, Shinoda doesn’t mind as much since it’s for a good cause. |
Although there are no immediate plans to take the gallery on the road, by the looks of the first nights crowd of people one can expect this two night engagement will not be the last for Shinoda. Mike Shinoda and his band Linkin Park are currently in the studio working on their as of yet unnamed album. The band has enlisted the producing skills of Rick Rubin and Shinoda says the band has narrowed it down from 100 songs to 33 with another round of cuts to go. Stay tuned for more details on Linkin Parks highly anticipated release in 2007. |
