LINKIN PARK PAYS FANS PROJEKT REV TICKET SERVICE FEES
Knowing the U.S. economy is in a bit of a recession, Linkin Park has taken care of paying the ticket service fees for its Projekt Revolution tour. |
Knowing that the economy is struggling, Linkin Park paid all the service fees for tickets to its Projekt Revolution tour which kicks off overseas on June 21 and in the U.S. July 16 in the Boston, Massachusetts area. For the U.S. run Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell, and Atreyu are among the artists booked for the fest. |
Shinoda said that fans who were the most interested in purchasing tickets had their processing and service fees taken care of by Linkin Park. |
“We offered to.. Because money is tight for a lot of people, we said through our fanclub, we’d pick up the service fee on their tickets as a gesture of gratitude. That’s something that we did in the beginning of the ticket sales on this tour.” |
Shinoda also said that the band is still committed to Music For Relief, and that it will concentrate on environmental issues for this round of dates. |
“As far as donating money to Music For Relief, once again we’re donating a dollar from each ticket. Music For Relief has been involved in a number of different things. When we started it was… We always geared the organization to providing relief to victims of natural disasters. Right now there’s a lot of that going on. There’s a lot of people who are in a lot of pain, and we want to try and help out to the best of our abilities. Also we’ve got some different ideas and some differing opportunities to donate to different environmental groups; planting trees, other simple ways, we just run our bus on biodiesel, and we try and donate the food that’s left over from catering, just things not to be so wasteful and things to help out.” |
Projekt Revolution also features 10 Years, Ashes Divide, Street Drum Corps, Armor For Sleep, and The Bravery. The tour ends August 24 at Woodlands, Texas. |
