Linkin Park and Jay-Z hooked up once again, this time for a performance with Paul McCartney at the Grammy awards last week. The band has worked with Jay in the past for a Music For Relief Tsunami benefit, Live 8, and a few other occasions.

The pairing actually started with an MTV special, and they both had less than a day to prepare for the initial mash-up. Now that they have a few performances under their belt, Chester Bennington talked about the professional way Jay-Z prepares.

“You know, Jay… Jay’s the man. He walks in and just does his thing. He’s the ultimate professional, you know what I mean? I don’t even know if we’re allowed to call him a musician anymore. We’re supposed to call him an executive.”

Jay-Z and Linkin Park’s collaboration of “Encore” and “Numb” captured a Grammy at the award show, and Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda worked with Jay for the release of his new project, Fort Minor.
