Lil Wayne scored the highest chart debut of his career this week when his latest album, Tha Carter II, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number Two after selling more than 238,000 copies its first week. The rapper, who is also the president of his label, Cash Money Records, is leading by example. Lil’ Wayne hopes the success will carry over to his own new label, Young Money Entertainment, which he plans to launch early next year. |
Lil Wayne began his career as part of the Hot Boys which also included Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. The rapper is the only remaining member of the group still signed to Cash Moeny Records. The rapper is currently involved in a war of words with Juvenile and B.G. |

Really, really honestly, nah, I ain’t trying to do no other Hot Boy album cause it ain’t about the money with me. I got money and I know you know I do. Not you but you know the people watching. I mean so it ain’t really about that. As a matter of fact I am still the only real original Hot Boy on Cash Money Records so that can’t really be a question to me. ‘Do I feel like I want to do another Hot Boy album?’ Cause I am still a Hot Boy.
