Rapper and actor Lil Romeo was recently one of two hundred high school basketball players selected to attend the prestigious ABCD Camp in Teaneck, New Jersey. Some of the camp’s previous attendees include: Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Carmello Anthony and LeBron James.

Lil Romeo said, “There was no pressure on me. I use this week as a concert. Instead of thousands of fans there were thousands of college coaches and NBA scouts and I used the basketball court as my stage. And I took the opportunity to show the world that I can hoop for real.”

“(Romeo) Oh yeah, the song is about getting your shine on. You know they got the grillz right now so it’s about flossin’, having a good time. (Master P) Hollyhood Cinema be on the look out for Romeo’s new movie, God’s Gift. it’s the first boxing movie where you gonna see Romeo really get his boxing on.”

Romeo, who is one of the Top Twenty 10th grade basketball players in the country, turned down a lucrative movie offer to spend his summer attending summer school and the basketball camp. The rapper is looking forward to a collegiate basketball career.

Lil Romeo isn’t quite ready to abandon the stage for the gym. He recently released a new single, “Shine,” which is included on the soundtrack to the straight-to-DVD movie, Repos, and he’s working on a new album and movie titled, God’s Gift. Romeo and his dad, Master P, said,
