LIL KIM DOING A LOT OF WRITING BEHIND BARS

Grammy Award winner Lil’ Kim is serving a one year prison sentence in a federal prison near Philadelphia. The rapper, who was found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice, is spending her time these days writing. Maricela Cuvyle, a recently released inmate from the facility, told the New York Post, “She’s writing a lot of music in there. She spends lots of time in her cell by herself, just to write.”

Lil’ Kim was found guilty of lying to a grand jury which was investigating a February 2001 shooting outside of New York’s Hot 97 FM.

The rapper’s latest album, The Naked Truth, has sold 205,000 copies since it was released in September.
